KCTCS Transfer Partnership Program
Kentucky Community & Technical College Systems Pathways
Kentucky State University (KSU) is excited to partner with Kentucky Community & Technical College System (KCTCS) to offer several pathways for students to transfer to a specific program at KSU on their journey to complete a four-year degree. Additional pathways are in development, please check back often or reach out to KSU to discuss transfer credits outside of the pathways listed below.
What is a Pathway?
Pathways are designed to help community college students seamlessly transfer to a university to complete their baccalaureate degree. Pathway agreements are typically viewed as two-plus-two types of agreements between higher education institutions. Simply put, a pathway is an excellent way for a student at a community or technical college working towards an associate degree to continue on to earn their baccalaureate degree.
The partnership between KCTCS and KSU ensures KCTCS students who transfer to KSU on approved pathways will continue to work towards their baccalaureate degree unimpeded by the risk of credits not transferring towards their major. If a KCTCS student transfers to another college, he or she is not guaranteed that all courses will transfer.
