Greetings Prospective SSS Participant,

The Student Support Services (SSS) program at Kentucky State University is excited to offer academic and personal support designed to help students succeed and persist through to graduation. Our mission is to dismantle barriers—whether financial, personal, academic, physical, or mental—that may stand in the way of your success. We are committed to providing intentional opportunities that empower students so that success becomes the only option!

About the Program
Student Support Services is a TRIO program funded under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965. TRIO programs are dedicated to helping students achieve their educational goals through a wide range of services and opportunities. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, these programs are awarded to institutions like Kentucky State University to directly serve students.

At Kentucky State, our SSS program identifies, selects, and serves 145 first-generation, income-eligible, and/or disabled college students who are enrolled or accepted for enrollment. Our staff partners with faculty and departments across campus to foster a supportive environment that promotes student success, retention, and persistence toward earning a degree.
