Welcome Message From the President
On behalf of the Kentucky State University (KSU) Board of Regents, faculty, and staff, it is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to our esteemed university. Whether you are a prospective or current student, parent, community partner, or visitor, we are happy you have chosen to learn more about us.
You will discover that although institutions of higher education have similarities in buildings and programs, KSU is a hidden gem, providing an experience that is much more. We are a community that values learning, offers high quality affordable education in a welcoming environment, and that is culturally enriching and supportive. This allows individuals to pursue their utmost hopes and dreams, both personally and professionally.
As a community built on commitment, communication, and collaboration, we know that success depends on what happens inside and outside our classrooms. Therefore, our comprehensive and rigorous curriculum not only prepares our students to excel on a global stage but also serves as a cornerstone in bridging critical workforce gaps. Our highly qualified and experienced faculty engage our students in state-of-the-art learning environments. Our caring staff offer extensive support, ranging from wraparound services and academic assistance, to job placement, transfer assistance, and student activities that promote a student-first environment.
We work closely with regional employers and partners. Such collaborations ensure that we are not only responding to our partner’s needs and filling their gaps but that we also equip our students with every opportunity to thrive personally and professionally. Our faculty and staff become luminaries for the network and infrastructure needed to bring success to bear.
Whether you are new to higher education, have been away from school for a while, or have a higher education credential and are looking to increase or improve your skills, I invite you to explore our website and learn more about our outstanding programs that help shape the lives of students in our region, country, and the world.
We look forward to seeing you on campus!
