"Kentucky State University gave me the opportunity to grow and thrive as a professional. Because of active partners and alumni contributing to my education, I was provided an opportunity to receive scholarships paying for most of my education. The university also afforded me with connections to attend graduate school for free. Now, KSU is offering several graduate programs, providing students at KSU and beyond the opportunity to further their education. Having the opportunity to give back to my university is a privilege. Seeing firsthand how Kentucky State University is providing opportunities through our giving is a blessing. Our students deserve the same if not better opportunities that were afforded to me."

"It is my duty as a double alumnus and legacy of the institution to give back to a university that has provided and helped shape the many graduates of my family that have attended Kentucky State University over the past nine decades. The university continues to be beacon within our family, of which includes the recent graduation of my son Izaya, and the admission of my younger son Jasiah. Kentucky State University continues to develop and mold first generation students, placing them in positions to flourish professionally and personally. Giving back to the university is a no brainer and a requirement to keep the rich culture and history of the school on the hill for decades to come. Giving back allows the institution to continue its mission and vision of churning out graduates readily prepared to engage society on all levels, and become change agents in a diverse world. Kentucky State is home, and brings much joy to not only myself, but others that were able to earn a degree and foster lifetime relationships that will go beyond the years."
