Southern Interdisciplinary Roundtable on African Studies (SIRAS)
The Southern Interdisciplinary Roundtable on African Studies is the only academic program that promotes African American understanding of Africa, while reconnecting all the peoples of African descent. This makes SIRAS unique as it organizes an annual forum that brings together at KSU, distinguished African American scholars, naturalized Africans who are now United States citizens in scholarly profession and KSU students and faculty, US diplomats, African diplomats and professionals from various disciplines including cultural, socio-political organizations and institutions of higher learning across the country and abroad to celebrate the African heritage through an understanding of each other.
For more details or questions, please contact Dr. Emmanuel N. Amadife, Founder/Director of SIRAS, Kentucky State University at (502) 597-6118.
