Division of Food and Animal Science
The Division of Food and Animal Science offers research, extension, and educational opportunities in food systems including animal production, food safety and human nutrition.
There is a rapidly expanding need for persons in the agriculture and food security industries with an emphasis on those trained in the animal and food sciences. These include professionals in USDA; Cooperative Extension; food industry; public health and nutrition; the food and recreational animal industries; local, state and federal government agencies; primary and secondary education systems, food service industry; research laboratories; food safety inspectors; biomedical services; animal feed manufacturing and retailing; international trade in the agricultural industry; journalism; veterinary medical fields; farm management; and animal production systems.
