Position: Assistant Professor of Biology, College of Natural, Applied, and Health Sciences

How long have you been employed at Kentucky State? Since fall 2013: I teach biology, microbiology, anatomy and physiology, and upper-level biotechnology, immunology and virology.

What do you enjoy most about your role? Teaching and guiding/coaching my students to achieve their goals.

What has been one of your favorite moments at Kentucky State? Seeing my students receiving their degrees during commencement.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? Stargazing in my backyard at night.

A fun fact about me is… I am a “card-carrying flu hunter”: to chase the ever-changing flu virus [as my research focus].
