The Acquisitions unit is one of four areas of Collection Management Services. The focus of the unit is to order and facilitate payment for library materials as well as to evaluate donated items for possible inclusion in the Library’s collections. The Acquisitions unit is also responsible for the coordination of the Library’s collection development activities, with collaborative input from faculty in the academic units via the Library’s Liaison program, and following the guidelines of the Library’s Collection Development Policy.
Faculty and students who wish to submit order requests for books or other items may do so by completing the Item Request Form. For “Rush” items, please allow three workdays (Monday-Friday) after the item is received in the Acquisitions unit for completion of processing.
