Phi Alpha National Social Work Honor Society
The Social Work program offers acceptance into the Phi Alpha National Social Work Honor Society. The purpose of Phi Alpha is to strengthen the bond among students of social work and to promote humanitarian goals and ideals. The honor society invites into membership those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in social work. There is a one-time membership fee of $20. Qualifications for Individual Membership:
- Declared social work as a major
- Achieved Sophomore status
- Completed 9 hours of social work classes
- Overall GPA of 3.0
- Achieved a 3.25 GPA in social work classes

Social Work Club
The Social Work Club seeks to enhance the social, intellectual and professional interests of its members through active cooperation with service-oriented organizations interested in advancing community welfare. The Social Work Club seeks through volunteer effort to aid said service-oriented organizations, thereby strengthening the efforts of such organizations and the professionalism and experience of the Social Work Club membership.
