Performing Ensembles

Recognizing that performance is a key component in the music education process, the Area of Music offers a number of groups and ensembles for student participation.

Among KSU’s renowned performing ensembles are the Mighty Marching Thorobred Band, Concert Choir, Gospel Ensemble, Opera/Musical Theatre Workshop, Symphonic Band, Pep Band, and Jazz Ensemble. Instrumental and vocal performing ensembles in the Music Area are open to music majors and non-majors by audition.

Many KSU music students participate in two or more of these groups.
