Surekha Panthi
Graduate Research Assistant (MS in Environmental Studies)

Surekha is a second-year master’s student at Kentucky State University, working in the Agronomy Lab under the supervision of Dr. Anuj Chiluwal. She completed her undergraduate degree in agriculture science from Agriculture and Forestry University, Nepal. Her current research focuses on Optimizing Late Season Nitrogen Fertilization on Soybean, with emphasis on improving soybean yield, seed composition and nitrogen use efficiency. Prior to joining KSU, she worked as a Livelihood officer in Nepal for a year where she contributed for the empowerment of community people through sustainable agriculture production.
Research interest: nutrient management, precision agriculture, sustainable crop production
