Kentucky State University invites the campus community to visit “Celebrating the Black Experience,” a traveling art exhibition on view Sept. 2–27 at Blazer Library.

Saturday–Sunday | 2 p.m.–4 p.m.

Special Event | Thursday, Sept. 17, 5–7 p.m.

As part of the exhibition, please join us as Kentucky State celebrates the reopening of Blazer Library with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. A reception will follow, featuring artists Jes Allen of Louisville and Derek King Jr. of Lexington.

At 6 p.m., Frankfort City Commissioner Katima Smith-Willis will facilitate a conversation with the artists about their work.

“Celebrating the Black Experience” is presented by the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage in partnership with the Kentucky Arts Council.
