Kentucky State University is aware of the action taken by members of the Alumni Association
during its virtual town hall on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
While the University respects the views expressed by some alumni, we remain focused
on the facts, our mission, and the important work of serving our students and the
Commonwealth.
We are grateful for the thousands of alumni, students, faculty, staff, donors, and
friends who continue to support Kentucky’s only public HBCU and 1890 land-grant university.
Together, we are strengthening Kentucky State University, expanding opportunities
for our students, and preparing the next generation of leaders for Kentucky and beyond.
Our focus remains where it belongs: on our students, our mission, and the University’s
service to the Commonwealth.
