LPN to Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Program (A.A.S.)
The LPN to Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Program (A.A.S.) is one-year a pre-licensure program for those who do not hold a registered nurse license. The LPN to A.A.S. program prepares students to provide nursing care to individuals, families, groups, and communities. The program also provides a foundation for further study in nursing. Graduates of the LPN to A.A.S. program are prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) required for practice as a registered nurse.

- Demonstrate effective communication with individuals, families and significant others, and members of the interdisciplinary health care team.
- Utilize health information technology tools to augment and improve health care delivery.
- Incorporate principles of delegation when tasking members of the health care team while considering patient safety, organizational policy, ethics and scope of practice criteria.
