A Kentucky State University alumna was recently featured in Kirk Franklin’s A Gospel Christmas on Lifetime.  Angela Birchett portrays Stella in the movie. Birchett is no stranger to Lifetime, recently portraying Jacky Cullen Chisholm in the production of The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel.  Birchett recently appeared on the The Good Word podcast to discuss her role. Kentucky State University donated more than 6,600 pounds of produce through its healthy food initiative

Kentucky State University’s Healthy Food Initiative started in 2020 as a way to make sure that produce grown for research did not go to waste. Since then, thousands of pounds of produce have been donated to soup kitchens in the Frankfort area.
