On October 22, KSU's School of Business and Center for Economic Education and Financial Literacy welcomed Kentucky Secretary of State Michael G. Adams as the featured guest for the School’s inaugural Lunch and Learn seminar.

More than 20 students and faculty members gathered in Bradford Hall to learn about the Secretary of State’s pivotal role in supporting Kentucky’s business community and fostering an environment that encourages entrepreneurship and innovation.

Lunch for attendees was generously provided by Dr. Gary Stratton, Interim Chair of the KSU School of Business and former Director of the Center for Economic Education at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise.

Connecting Students with State Leadership

Dr. Stratton emphasized the importance of providing students with opportunities to engage directly with state leaders and decision-makers.

“All business in Kentucky starts with the Secretary of State’s office,” said Dr. Stratton. “Engaging with Secretary Adams helps our students better understand the foundational processes that drive entrepreneurship and business development in our state.”

Expanding Experiential Learning

The Lunch and Learn seminar series is part of the School of Business and the Center for Economic Education and Financial Literacy’s ongoing commitment to expanding experiential learning opportunities and strengthening Kentucky’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
