Seventeen Students Inducted into Beta Kappa Chi, National Scientific Honor Society
In a display of academic excellence, seventeen students were inducted into Beta Kappa
Chi, a national scientific honor society, on Monday, March 31, 2025.
Beta Kappa Chi was founded in 1923 at Lincoln University, Pennsylvania with the motto,
“Science holds the golden key to the royal palace of knowledge.” Today, the scientific
honor society has spread throughout the nation, encouraging the advancement of scientific
education and high scholarship in the sciences.
“[Beta Kappa Chi] is a wonderful way to recognize our students for past accomplishments
and help them build their CV and resume as they look to accomplish more in the future
under the guidance of faculty and staff,” said Dr. Nyrée McDonald, Vice Provost of
Academic Affairs.
“We are excited about the growth and success of our newest cohort of emerging science
professionals,” said Dr. Tierra Freeman-Taylor, KSU’s Faculty Advisor for Beta Kappa
