Your guide to Kentucky State University’s recent U.S. News rankings
U.S. News and World Report recently released its 2025 Best College rankings and Kentucky State University (KSU) has earned multiple rankings demonstrating the institution’s academic excellence.
KSU was awarded the following rankings:
“Kentucky State University is committed to providing transformative educational experiences to prepare graduates for making meaningful contributions to society,” said KSU President, Dr. Koffi C. Akakpo. “We are thrilled to be recognized by U.S. News and World Report for our success in providing high quality education.”
Schools are ranked according to their performance across a set of widely accepted key markers of excellence. KSU ranked high as the 5th Best Value College in the South out of 25 schools. This ranking takes into account a school’s academic quality, and the 2023-2024 net cost of attendance for an out-of-state student who received the average level of need-based financial aid. The high quality of KSU’s education combined with its affordability set the university as a leader in best value for the region.
KSU is proud to support a diverse student body with a wide variety of degrees, academic programs, and experiential learning opportunities both on campus and online. The University continues to attract more students to its programs and expands its academic offerings, year after year.
