Bio:
Davon Taylor is a proud graduate of Western Kentucky University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Criminology. Davon also received his Master of Arts in Journalism with an Emphasis in Interactive Media from the University of Missouri – Columbia. Davon is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Leadership at Spalding University in Louisville, KY. He has worked in various roles throughout his career as a News Reporter and Fill-in Anchor throughout the United States, including ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir in New York. In addition to Davon’s educational background, he has been recognized by the Kentucky Broadcast Association and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for his excellence in news reporting. Davon’s research is grounded in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in newsroom leadership, advocating for more representation within the broadcast medium. Davon has also received the highest honor awarded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, which is a Kentucky Colonel. He is the author of two books: Creation and Written, Unheard, Unseen: In Black and White, Reporting While Black. He is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., the National Association of Black Journalists, and the Kentucky Broadcasters Association. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, skating, and traveling the world.
