Bio:

Cora Teets is a Research & Extension Associate for Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems at Kentucky State University. She was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and raised in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. She has a bachelor's in agriculture, food, and environment with an emphasis on human health and nutrition from Kentucky State University. She also has a master’s in human nutrition and food systems from the University of Kentucky. She has a deep connection to raising plants and animals, as she was raised on a small farm and has worked on local farms most of her life. She dedicates her career to agriculture and food systems research and hopes to contribute new ideas in the urban agricultural sector. Her dream is to help create an efficient food system for communities to thrive and for the environment to prosper.
