Mr. Jason Moseley

Mr. Jason Lamar Moseley ‘05 is a proud Thorobred. He is a native of Louisville, KY native where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from the Greatest HBCU on earth, Kentucky State University.

Moseley is known throughout the nation as "Coach Mo" having shown himself as a leader in coaching and sports management. He is a proud graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where he earned his Master of Science degree in sports administration. Moseley worked as a basketball operations assistant at the University of Kentucky under the legendary Tubby Smith. After leaving Kentucky Basketball, he became founder and CEO of NXT Level Basketball Academy with locations throughout the Commonwealth and Charlotte, North Carolina counting NBA Finals Champion and future Hall of Famer Rajon Rondo, and Kentucky Basketball legends Jodie Meeks and Nazr Mohammed as clients.

Moseley is proud to call the Commonwealth home again! In 2020, he became the head boys basketball coach at the historic Frederick Douglass High School in Lexington, KY. He has established a stellar reputation for cultivating student-athletes at all levels throughout the country. Moseley wouldn’t do any less bringing a "#WeWill attitude" to the heart of the Bluegrass country after a historic championship run as head boys basketball coach at the prestigious Charlotte Preparatory School. He led the Charlotte Prep program to their first 15-win season in addition to Regular Season and Tournament Championship. Prior to that, Moseley chaired the Physical Education Department at Queen City Stem Academy, while being the athletic director over both boys’ and girls’ sports. He also has the distinction of receiving the 2017 Coach of Year Award at Rocky River High School where he achieved a 57-17 record over three seasons, leading the Varsity Boys Basketball program to their first 20-win season, a regional championship and a North Carolina final four appearance.

Moseley shares his life with his loving wife, Lunetha Pryor. They bring two young adult children to their blissful union.
