Mr. Edward Hatchett, Esq.
Mr. Edward Hatchett, Esq. is a 1973 honors graduate of Centre College, earning his J.D. degree from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 1976. His legal experience has focused on fiduciary law, banking and securities regulation, and auditing. Hatchett was a Liberty teaching Fellow in 1995 at the University of Louisville School of Business.
Hatchett was Kentucky’s 44th Auditor of Public Accounts, and the first elected to two consecutive terms, 1996-2003. He earlier served two governors as Kentucky Commissioner of Financial Institutions, 1989-1995. A native of Glasgow, Kentucky, Hatchett is managing partner and counsel of Blue Spring Creek, LLC, a farming enterprise in Barren County. His wife, Dr. Judith Hatchett, was assistant professor of English at KSU from 1988-1991.
