Dr. Charles Moyer
Dr. Charles Moyer served as dean of the College of Business at the University of Louisville from 2005 – 2013. He was dean of the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University from 1996 – 2003. Moyer is now professor of finance in the College of Business at the University of Louisville and dean emeritus from Wake Forest University. He is the author of four textbooks, including Contemporary Financial Management, (14th edition), Managerial Economics (14th edition) and numerous articles appearing in leading finance and management journals. Moyer has provided testimony in more than 80 public utility rate cases.
Moyer was a director at King Pharmaceuticals from 2000 – 2011, when King was acquired by Pfizer; he was also a director of the Kentucky Seed Capital Fund, and Capitala Finance; and is a director of the Enterprise Angels Community Fund I, Summit Biosciences, and USWorldMeds. Moyer is on the Board of Kentucky Performing Arts, the Kentucky Author Forum, and Louisville Ballet. He earned his Ph.D. in finance and managerial economics from the University of Pittsburgh in 1971; his Master of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 1968; and his Bachelor of Arts in economics and German from Howard University in 1967.
