Collection Management Services

The focus of Collection Management Services (CMS) is the management of a wide variety of information resources (physical and electronic) for Blazer Library’s collections. Using the library’s WorldShare Management Services (WMS) platform and other web-based systems, the department is responsible for selection, ordering, cataloging, online maintenance, inventory, transfers, deselection, and withdrawals. CMS personnel oversee critical systems components, including the WMS knowledge base, the WorldCat Discovery online catalog, Journal Finder, and Interlibrary Loan.

Collection Management Services consists of the following units:

Acquisitions & Cataloging – Blazer Library 143/144.   Librarian: Debbra Tate

Periodicals – Blazer Library 1st floor in the Periodicals area.   Librarian: Dantrea Hampton

Interlibrary Loan – Periodicals area. Interlibrary Loan activities:  Maurisha Jenkins (Lending for books); Dantrea Hampton (ILL coordinator; Lending for journals; Borrows from other libraries)
