JOHN MARTIN, a native of Pennsylvania, has a Bachelor of Music with honors in Church Music from Westminster College (New Wilmington, Pennsylvania), a Masters in Organ Performance from the University of Oklahoma, further graduate study in organ and musicology at the University of Kansas, and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His organ study has been with Raymond O’Cock, Mildred Andrews, Wilma Jensen, and James Moeser. Following his organ performance degree, he performed an organ recital at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. He retired as registrar at Kentucky State University and subsequently has taught in the Honors Program and the Area of Music at KSU. He is Director of Music and Organist at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Frankfort, Kentucky, and is a member of Piano Eight Hands in Frankfort.
