CAN STUDENTS RETURN TO CAMPUS AND ACCESS THEIR RESIDENCE HALLS?
Students should avoid travel and not return to reside in the residence halls at this time if at all possible. For students who do not have other housing options, you are eligible to stay in the residence halls; if so, please contact the residence director on-call phone at (502) 352-5447 to make necessary arrangements.
CAN STUDENTS FULLY MOVE OUT OF THE RESIDENCE HALLS AT THIS TIME?
Kentucky State is asking students to NOT return and move out of the residence halls at this time.
IF I NEED TO RETURN TO CAMPUS TO OBTAIN ITEMS FROM THE RESIDENCE HALLS, WHAT CAN I DO?
We are encouraging students to not travel to campus for health and safety reasons, yet if you must obtain items from the residence halls, you are asked to call the resident director on-call number at (502) 352-5447 first to make arrangements.
CAN SOMEONE ELSE PICK UP ITEMS FROM THE RESIDENCE HALL FOR ME OR CAN ITEMS BE SHIPPED?
No. For safety and security reasons, only residential students themselves can gain access to their own rooms. We are also unable to ship any items.
WILL I BE REIMBURSED FOR HOUSING AND MEAL PLANS?
At Kentucky State University, housing includes a meal plan. All students and families should be assured that Kentucky State University will credit all student accounts 25 percent for any paid housing and unused meal plans. Student’s whose housing is not covered by institutional aid will receive a 25 percent refund.
Any credit on student accounts will be applied toward any outstanding university balance and if applicable, a refund will be processed and mailed to the student’s address on file.
IF I HAVE A HOUSING AND MEAL PLAN REFUND DUE, WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE IT?
The Office of the Bursar will review student accounts to verify a zero balance, if the student does not have a zero balance then the 25 percent credit will be applied to the student’s account in the fall semester. If the student has a zero balance and is a graduate, or does not plan to return then a refund will be generated and mailed to the student’s address on file.
Typically, refunds are processed in about two to three weeks but there may be delays. Students will receive up-to-date notifications via their Kentucky State University email accounts.
CAN I LEAVE MY CAR ON CAMPUS DURING THIS TIME?
WILL THERE BE DINING SERVICES AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS WHO REMAIN ON CAMPUS?

CAN STUDENTS WHO LIVE IN OFF-CAMPUS RESIDENCES NOT OWNED BY THE UNIVERSITY CONTINUE TO LIVE THERE?
