WHO WE ARE — Kentucky State University is the first HBCU and the second-oldest, state-supported institution of higher learning in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. As an 1890 land-grant institution with a world-class aquaculture program, our students, faculty, staff and more than 6,000 alumni living in Kentucky proudly boast our heritage to the world.
