All of our undergraduate offerings require the completion, or satisfaction, of all University Requirements as well as all General Education Core requirements. Transfer students or students entering Kentucky State University with A.A, A.S., or A.A.S. degrees should consult their advisor for Core- or Category Complete status, as it applies to their individual circumstances. For convenience, they are available here for download.

Quantitative Reasoning

  • MAT xxx – College Algebra (MAT 111, minimum. Individual Majors may have higher requirements)

Natural Sciences

  • 3-4 credit hours from: BIO 101, BIO 103, BIO 112, CHE 109, PHS 201, PHS 202, PHS 211, PHS 221, PHS 231, PHY 130 (Must include lab or hands-on project)

Social and Behavioral Sciences

  • 6 credit hours (must be from different disciplines, individual Majors may have specific requirements) from:
    • ECO 200 – Survey of Economics OR
    • FIN 101 – Financial Literacy OR
    • HIS 108 – African Am History OR
    • POS 101 – American Government OR
