The Kentucky State University (KSU) Gospel Ensemble is scheduled to perform Sept. 27 during the Wednesday night service at St. Stephens Church in Louisville.

KSU Gospel Ensemble Director Mario J. Radford said patrons could expect to hear a variety of sounds, including the anthem-style “Praise the Lord,” a high-energy contemporary piece titled “Excellent,” and a ballad-style piece titled “Take it to the Lord.”

This performance is the first of the fall semester, with performances booked at First Baptist Church Bracktown in Lexington at 5 p.m. Oct. 29 and the University of Indiana in Evansville on Nov. 12. One of the highlights of the season includes the Fall Gospel Extravaganza Sunday, Nov. 19 at 5:30 p.m. in the Bradford Hall auditorium.
