- The normal semester load for graduate students is nine (9) semester credit hours in any combination of graduate and undergraduate hours. (Some programs require prerequisite undergraduate courses prior to regular admission).
- A graduate student must carry nine (9) or more graduate semester credit hours to be full time, five (5) to eight (8) graduate semester hours to be half time, and less than five (5) graduate semester credit hours to be less than half time. A graduate student enrolled in fewer than 9 graduate credit hours is considered part-time.
- A graduate student in good standing may pursue a maximum of twelve (12) semester credit hours during the fall or spring semester of the academic year for which he/she is a candidate for graduation.
- A graduate student may pursue a maximum of six (6) semester credit hours during the summer session.
