Loss Prevention Specialist – Administrative Services

Overview – The Loss Prevention Specialist is a member of the Administrative Services support team serving statewide Goodwill operations.  This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a proactive, integrated, and dynamic loss prevention program for this statewide organization including: 1) traveling to all locations to observe loss prevention procedures and ensuring adherence to security policies; 2) conducting and managing surveillance systems; 3) conducting investigations related to loss prevention and security; 4) developing and recommending policies, procedures, protocols, budgets; and, 5) providing statistical and evaluation reports.

Job Skills/Requirements – Bachelor’s Degree in related field and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in risk management related to loss prevention and safety, including: advanced knowledge/experience with surveillance systems, investigation procedures; basic business principles; and, human resources policies and procedures.  The following advanced skills are essential:  interpersonal communication, developing productive partnerships and collaborations, written communication, analysis and problem-solving, planning, project coordination, and the ability to translate policies and regulations into action and compliance.  the successful Loss Prevention Specialist supports the Agency’s mission, vision, and values and represents Goodwill in a positive, friendly, diplomatic and professional manner.

Entry Level General Ledger Accountant – Administrative Services

Overview – The Entry Level General Ledger (GL) Accountant is a member of the Administrative Services accounting and finance support team.  The position is responsible for transaction recording, bank reconciliations, account analyses, journal entries, assistance in monthly and year-end close and the reconcilement of the Company’s general ledger with subsidiary ledgers.  In addition, this position will assist in the timely production of center, division, company and consolidation monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements that conform with GAAP.  Responsibilities will also include the creation of financial reports that assist divisional and other company staff in day-to-day operational management decisions.

Job Skills/Requirements – Bachelors Degree in accounting is required.  Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) accounting system experience is preferred.  Actual experience working with the recording of financial transactions in a computerized accounting system and production of financial statements is also preferred.  Must possess ability to plan, organize work flow and meet required bank reconciliation and account analyses, financial statement and report production deadlines with minimal supervision.  Must also be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel software and be able to demonstrate strong written oral communication skills at a level necessary to perform required tasks.  Similarly, must be able to pay attention to detail and produce correct financial statement entries from a mathematical and accounting principal standpoint.  In addition, must possess an understanding of the Company’s mission and display an ability to interpret and conduct daily work activities in a way that complements and positively furthers the mission.  also, must be able to pass a background check.  Occasional overtime is required.
