President/Student Regent

Breana Smith is a graduating senior from Indianapolis, Indiana. She will be obtaining a Bachelors of Arts in the field of Liberal Arts. Breana has been a member of SGA since 2012, and has also served as a KSU Student Ambassador since 2012. During her tenure at KSU,  Breana has served as Miss Chandler Hall, Sophomore Class Secretary, and Executive Board Secretary of SGA. Breana is also a Whitney Young honor student, and Thurgood Marshall College Fund Scholar. Aside from serving as SGA president, Breana serves her student body as a peer tutor in the Academic Center for Excellence. Breana plans to pursue a Masters in Public Administration from Kentucky State University post-graduation.

First Vice-President

Thomas Gardner is a 21 year old senior from the great state of Indiana, majoring in Chemistry with a` minors in Business and Biology. Prior to being elected First- Vice President, Thomas served as the Chief of Staff for the 2012-2013 academic school year. Thomas is currently pursuing a career in medicine and plans on attending medical school post graduation. Thomas is a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Mu National Honors Society, as well as Collegiate 100.

Second Vice President

John D. Jackson Jr. is a 21 year old senior from the illustrious and most beautiful city, Cleveland, Ohio. John is a Mass Communication major with a concentration in Public Relations with a minor in  Speech. Aside from SGA, John is a proud member of the Majestic Psi Psi chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. He is also a student-athlete, for he serves our university on the track and field team, and on our indestructible Thorobred Football Team!

To My Thorobred Family:

As 2nd Vice- President, I am the liaison for commuter students and non-traditional students. I am making it my personal goal to increase the commuter student and non-traditional student participation on campus. KSU is a family, it is my family, and we need to be connected, at all times. Stephanie Durr is a 20 year old Public Administration Major From Detroit Michigan. She graduated from the Detroit School Of Arts in 2012 and entered KSU through the AWA summer  program in 2012. She is now a junior at the university and has been an active member of Student Government Association since her freshman year. Stephanie enjoys serving her university as a Student Ambassador, serving her community as a mentor for the Franklin County Public School system, educating peers as a peer mentor, and is a proud member of the illustrious Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Alpha Pi Chapter). She also an active member of the NAACP, Collegiate 100 and KSU Girls Rock.

To my KSU family,

I am elated that you have chosen me to serve as your Executive Secretary. I promise that I will continue to uphold the traditions of KSU and I am always here for whatever you need. We are a family and it takes a village to raise a child, but it takes family to maintain and be a shoulder to each other. Thanks again for in trusting me with this position.

Diamond Gordon is a 20 year old junior from the amazing Windy City, Chicago, IL. She is a Mass Communications major with a concentration in Public Relations and a double minor in Speech and Business Administration. She is a proud member of the illustrious Alpha Pi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She also is a member of  KSU Girls Rock and serves as the Vice President of Collegiate 100. After graduation, Diamond intends to pursue a career in grant writing for fortune five-hundred companies as well as working hands on with corporate entertainment.

I am elated to serve as your 2014-2015 Executive Treasurer. I thank you all for the support and actions taken to place me in this position. Drastic changes lie ahead and we are off to a great start! Let’s continue to work together & bring back the beauty in our beautiful institution! She deserves it!

Chief Justice

Marcus Harris is a 20 year old graduating senior from the lavish city Miami, Florida. Mr.Harris will be obtaning a Bachelor degree in Public Administration with a minor in criminal justice. Mr.Harris is a proud member of  Kentucky State University’s football team were he plays defensive end. He is also a proud member and president of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.”Majestic” Psi Psi chapter. Furthermore he serves as a peer educator for D.OP.E , which stands for Driving Our Peer Educators. Mr.Harris gives all of his success and glory to God.

Miss Kentucky State University

Marquisha J. Jackson is a 21 year old Psychology major from Hopkinsville Kentucky. She is a member of our Thorobred cheerleading team where she serves as a co-captain. While on campus, Marquisha plans to reach out to the women by getting them involved with the newly founded SHE mentoring program she proudly helped originate with two of her Thorobred peers. Marquisha plans to join the US Air Force post-graduation.

For the 2014-15 academic school year, Marquisha PROUDLY serves as your Miss Kentucky State University.

Mr. Kentucky State University

Terry Horton Jr., is a Criminal Justice major born in Oakland, California and raised in Polk, County Florida. Terry is a member and active captain of the Thorobred Football team and also a proud founder of Men Achieving Leadership, Excellence and Success (M.A.L.E.S.). M.A.L.E.S. is a male mentoring organization that strives to foster professional and personal development opportunities that enhance the civic engagement and the academic and social skills of young men on campus. While on campus, Terry plans to assist with student recruitment to help build school morale and student enrollment.
