The mission of Student Health Services is to deliver the student to the classroom in the optimum condition for learning. The University makes every effort to ensure that the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health of students is maintained. The program is broad in scope, encompassing preventive health, health education, health maintenance, wellness, drug, and alcohol counseling/education, mental health, women’s health, men`s health, and medical and dental referrals.
Student Health Services, in order to support the holistic development of students, will continue to provide quality physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental health care services to our students; and create a heighten sense of awareness of students about the abuse and misuse of alcohol and other drugs and the affect it can have on campus crime, and violence. Emphasis is on preventive as well a corrective measure. To increase the student`s awareness of health issues, periodic lectures and seminars are conducted by Student Health Services staff, in addition to individual and group counseling and providing quality health care services.
