First day for returning work study students to begin their assignments. Returning students may begin working on this date only if they worked previously during the Spring 2016 semester and have turned in their Authorization-to-Work Form.
Students new to the Federal Work Study program must attend one of the scheduled orientations, complete and submit the New Student FWS Employment package to the Financial Aid Office for processing BEFORE they will be eligible to start working. Start dates will vary based on the completion of the FWS process.
Note: All students, New and Returning, must have a signed FWS Authorization-to-Work Form on file in order to begin working.
DECEMBER 15, 2016 is the last day a student is able to work for the Fall semester.
January 16, 2017 is the first day for returning work study students to begin their assignments. Students new to the FWS will be able to begin working once they have completed their FWS process.
May 12, 2017 is the last day a student is able to work for the Spring semester.
If you have NOT worked for the University during the past 12 months, a NEW Student Employment packet must be completed. This packet includes an Employment Application, I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Form, W-4 form, Direct Deposit form and a Background Check form. The I-9 form requires a picture ID and either a copy of your birth certificate or Social Security card (or other acceptable form of ID as listed).

Once you have read the information, please scroll to the bottom of the page, and print a “Returning” or “New” Student FWS Application packet. Please provide the necessary information requested in the packet, and submit the completed FWS packet to the Financial Aid Office. You can find the information here.
