Welcome to Facilities and Maintenance Operations. Our mission is to provide excellence in cleanliness, operations and maintenance for facilities, grounds and utilities, in a customer-focused, safe, efficient and sustainable manner. Our team of more than 65 dedicated employees tailors its services to meet the changing needs of our customers who occupy a wide variety of campus facility types, ranging from teaching environments to recreational buildings, laboratories and resident halls. The department is responsible for the stewardship of the university’s land and physical properties which consists of 31 building facilities on a 313-acre main campus in Frankfort, Kentucky, a 296-acre Research Farm located in southern Franklin County and a 306-acre Environmental Education Center located in Henry County, Kentucky.
