The Social Work Program offers acceptance into the Phi Alpha National Social Work Honor Society. The purposes of Phi Alpha are to provide a closer bond among students of social work and promote humanitarian goals and ideals. The honor society invites into membership those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in social work.

Qualifications for Individual Membership:

  1. Declared social work as a major
  2. Achieved Sophomore status
  3. Completed 9 hours of social work classes
  4. Overall GPA of 3.0
  5. Achieved a 3.25 GPA in social work classes

A one-time membership fee of $20.00

Kentucky Chapters Include:

  • Kentucky State University
  • Campbellsville University
  • Morehead State University
  • Northern Kentucky University
  • Western Kentucky University
  • Murray State University
  • University of Kentucky
  • University of Louisville
