The School of Public Administration, Social Work and Criminal Justice was established in 2005 and consists of three programs that date back to the 1970s. The School of Public Administration was established in 1973; the Social Work program in 1978; and Criminal Justice began in 1976. We offer three undergraduate degrees and a Master of Public Administration.
Public Administration primarily prepares students for public sector employment, including local, state, and federal government agencies. The Criminal Justice and Social Work programs are geared toward human needs and public services and are designed to prepare students to help remedy social problems on individuals and groups.
The schools provide quality education to students in the professional areas of Public Administration, Social Work, and Criminal Justice. Also to produce pre-service graduates with the necessary skills that will allow them to compete for and obtain entry level position in government, non-profit sector, and the business sector. The mission to assist in-service graduates with the necessary additional skills necessary for advancement in their present position.
