All students seeking certification to teach are required to file an application for Supervised Teaching. The application for admission to Supervised Teaching must be made by the posted deadline (October 15th or March 15th) during the semester immediately prior to the semester during which the student plans to do student teaching. After processing the student’s application, the Chairperson of the Educator Preparation Program Committee (EPPC) will notify the applicant by letter that the application for admission to Supervised Teaching has been approved or denied. If the application is approved, the approval will be subject to continued compliance with all prerequisites and the student’s attainment and maintenance of the required criteria for admission that are in effect at the time of application and at the time the student is scheduled to enroll in the Supervised Teaching course. If the application for admission to Supervised Teaching is denied, the letter of notification will state the reason(s) for denial.
