The BRED Planning Committee invites all Faculty and Staff to participate in Bred Week 2017, Saturday, August 12th – Sunday, August 20th.  Below is a list of suggested activities that will allow you to engage and interact with students.  Please RSVP by completing the form below.

Move-In Day

Saturday, August 12th

9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Assist with the move-in process by greeting and assisting students and their families.  If you are interested, please click here  to submit your Move-In Day Volunteer Participation Form to the Office of Residence Life by Monday, August 7th at 4:30 pm.

 

Family Dinner

Saturday, August 12th

4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Student Center Ballroom

After a day of hard work, have dinner with our new students and their family.  This event is casual.

 

 

 

Community Service

Tuesday, August 15th

8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Check-in: Student Center Ballroom

Honor our University’s mission by participating with our students in one of our various community service projects.

 

 

 

Academic Olympics

Wednesday, August 16th

3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Jones Practice Field

Support our students as they compete in a series of physical challenges all with hopes of earning the title of the 2017 Academic Olympics Champion. Which academic area will come out on top?

 

 

Mentor Mixer

Wednesday, August 16th

6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Student Center Ballroom

Interested in mentoring our new students?  Participate in fun activities during an interactive mixer. Make a great impression as our students will be narrowing their choice of their KSU Mentor.

 

 

Pinning Ceremony 

Friday, August 19th

6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Bradford Hall

The Pinning Ceremony will mark the beginning of their journey to become a KSU graduate!  Faculty and Staff are asked to participate in the ceremony by pinning a new student. Convocation Attire required.

Exum Gymnasium

Celebrate with our new marching band students as they join their senior members for their first public performance.
