About KSU
Kentucky State University (KSU) was chartered in May 1886 as a land grant institution. Located in Frankfort, Kentucky – the state capital – KSU offers 61 degree programs: certificates in 28 disciplines, associate (two-year) degrees in two disciplines, baccalaureate (four-year) degrees in 25 disciplines, and master’s degrees in 11 disciplines, and a doctoral degree in nursing practice.
The university’s 1,017-acre campus includes a 204-acre agricultural research farm and a 306-acre environmental education center. KSU has more than 2,200 students, 450 faculty and staff members. The University’s student-faculty ratio is the lowest among public institutions of higher learning in the Commonwealth.
