To get registered you can click the link below. This will lead you to our calendar where you can select a Bred Day and register. Read this information in its entirety in order to gain clarity.
We've designed our Orientation Experience around you, helping to uncover the answers to the questions you have, and providing you information about campus resources, programs and services. When you come for a Bred Day it is your chance to meet other members of the KSU Family and handle your mandatory Thorobred Business prior to move in in August!
Bred Day
Students will engage in morning and afternoon activities. During the morning portion you will be able to take care of your Thorobred Business which includes taking an ID picture, verifying your housing, adjusting your class schedule, making sure your financial aid and collections is secure, and meeting with career services. In the afternoon portion you and one guest will be able to eat lunch, meet with Deans/Chairs of your department, meet campus student leaders, participate in financial aid one on ones, and complete placement testing if needed. Please keep in mind, only one guest will be permitted to accompany you throughout the day. There are options for you to choose from. Each option has a limited capacity, and dates will fill up quick!

Bred Week
Bred Week is an orientation program, designed to assist new incoming students in their transition from home to college. Program participants move to campus before classes begin and benefit from the opportunity to get acclimated to campus before the upperclassmen arrive and begin building a social support network. Educational sessions, special events, and evening social activities provide program participants with opportunities to learn tips of the trade from student leaders, meet new people, and identify resources to help them succeed in and out of the classroom. During the program, you will begin to build a network of resources that will help you to start your KSU journey on the right path.
Cost
There is a one-time nonrefundable Orientation Fee of $150.00 that covers both New Student Orientation and the Bred Week Orientation Program. This fee will be due at the point of registration, and will include special events, parties, food, K-State gear, Spirit Items, and much more! Also, during the program you will begin to build a network of resources that will help you to start your KSU journey on the right path.
