Types of Gifts
Leadership Gifts
Donors who make leadership gifts are investing in the aspirations and goals of Kentucky State University. These transformational gifts impact all aspects of campus from student scholarship endowments to faculty development opportunities as well as new programs and capital improvement projects.
All gifts to the University are appreciated, but leadership gifts ensure that Kentucky State University has the resources needed to provide an engaging, challenging, and supportive learning environment and improve our communities.
Matching Gifts
Matching gift benefits can double, sometimes triple, the impact of your gift. Many matching gift policies include retirees, employee spouses, board members, and officers, so inquire about eligibility.
How to secure a matching gift
If your employer offers matching gifts, request a matching gift form, which is often available through Human Resources. Send the completed and signed form to the Office of Institutional Advancement along with your gift.
If you have already made your gift, it may not be too late to qualify for matching dollars this year. Send a completed matching gift form to advancement@kysu.edu.
Leaving a Legacy
Planned gifts enable you to integrate your charitable and financial goals and provide present or future support for Kentucky State programs that are important to you. They can also provide valuable tax benefits, income, and other financial returns for you and your spouse or loved ones. Some of the most common planned giving mechanisms include bequests, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, gifts of life insurance, and gifts of retirement plan assets.
Memorial Gifts
